Active player connections

Each playback session counts toward its account’s limit. Viewers on the same channel share provider pulls.

Administrator passkeys

Keep a second passkey on another device or security key. Changes require a recent passkey verification.

Recovery

If all passkeys are lost, generate a one-time recovery token from the Relayline server console. Recovery takes effect only after a replacement passkey is verified, and signs out other administrator sessions.

Preferred provider

When both sources are healthy, Relayline returns to this provider after the configured stability window (30 seconds by default). Channels that do not use it keep their own saved “Start on” choice.

Global preferred provider A manual move is temporary. Relayline waits through the stability window before returning to the healthy preferred provider.

Failover alignment

Compare audio on compatible primary and backup feeds to reduce time jumps when switching. This adds viewing delay and uses audio analysis without adding video transcoding.

Maximum added delay (seconds)Includes the difference between feeds and the safety buffer. Safety buffer (seconds)Extra room for changing provider delays. Must fit within the maximum.

Channels with a backup may wait up to about 47 seconds on first playback with the default limits while Relayline buffers both feeds and compares audio; a match may be ready sooner. Different commentary or commercials can prevent a match, so Relayline then uses ordinary failover. Channels with one source start normally. Changes apply when a channel next starts streaming.

AI matching

Use AI to help resolve ambiguous channel names. Choose a model and save an API key from its provider. Your key is stored encrypted; standard name and guide-ID matching works without AI.
